Attending Miller has been an extremely beneficial move for me both academically and athletically. Coming from a very large public high school, one thing that immediately stood out to me was the smaller class sizes. This allows for each student to create a special bond with every teacher; and it also allows for each student to receive as much help as they need because of the class sizes and the availability of the teachers.
Living in the dorms has also significantly improved me as a person in general. The schedule is great for academics and allows plenty of time to focus and complete all of the work that you receive. This aspect of Miller has helped me to enhance my abilities in the classroom much more than at my previous school.
However, at first I was nervous about the dorm life and about meeting all of these new people. I soon discovered there was no need to worry, the student body at Miller is truly accepting of all people and are friendly to all. The students are so diverse and make a new student feel at home much quicker than I had anticipated.
Miller has been a huge step in my life towards the right direction. It has opened me up to various cultures, improved my academic setting, and has prepared me for college with both the school setting and the dorm setting.
