Sam returned home to Charlottesville in 2007 after four years at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he received a B.A. in history. Sam began his career in education when he joined the history department at the Miller School of Albemarle teaching American History, AP American History, and United States Government, while also coaching MSA's wrestling team. In May 2011 Sam transitioned to administration as MSA's Director of Admission.

Sam is proud to serve as an ambassador of MSA and enjoys getting to know the incoming students from around the United States and world. Sam is also an avid Mavericks sports fan and a regular attendee at events throughout the year. When Sam is not at MSA he can usually be found outdoors hiking, camping, spending time with family or reading a good book.

Go Mavericks!
