Rich Bard graduated from the University of Maine at Orono in 1984 with a degree in special education. He taught special education in the school systems of Winslow and Portland, Maine. In 1995, he moved to Charlottesville and began work for the Intramural Department at the University of Virginia. He is currently at the North Grounds Recreational Center. He began working at MSA in August 2010 as a dorm director and strength and conditioning coach.
Rich's other coaching experience includes assistant football coach at the University of Maine, football and basketball coach in Winslow, ME; basketball coach at Southern Maine Technical College; and football and basketball coach at St. Anne's-Belfield.
Rich is very proud of his daughter, Cassandra, who attends James Madison University. He is joined in the photo above by his dog, Kodi Bear.
