The Miller School Drama Department is dedicated to the growth of young performers, technicians, and stage crew members. Putting on two productions per year (one dramatic, one musical), the program allows students to be involved in every aspect of stage production. Students act, sing, dance, design costumes, design make-up, build sets, assist in lighting design and audio production, and have fun! Students experience the fruits of their labor on opening night when the audience is transported to a world that they have created!
The best thing about drama at MSA is that no experience is necessary. Whether you have never set foot on the stage before or you are a seasoned veteran, we provide you with your chance to shine! Newcomers learn the ins and outs of putting on a production from both the coaches and their fellow students. For those with experience, there is opportunity to to hone your talents or try something new. "All the world's a stage" and there is truly a part for everyone to play with MSA Drama!
Plans are already in the works for the 2011/2012 season and it will be an exciting one! In the fall, we will produce the gripping courtroom drama Twelve Angry Men. Our winter musical will bring the zaniness of ancient Rome to life withour production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. |
