Debbie came to the Miller School of Albemarle in the fall of 2000. She had been teaching full time at the School of Nursing at Auburn University and had just completed a M.Ed. in Community Counseling. MSA offered a chance to combine nursing and counseling.  In addition to her work at MSA, Debbie teaches nursing part-time at PVCC and Kaplan.

Debbie lives in Batesville with her husband Ray, two horses, two dogs, two cats and three birds. Her daughter, Elise, recently graduated from college and works for the County of Albemarle in Charlottesville.
