Although he was a Constitutional scholar in college, post university Brad became more of a follower of Henry David Thoreau and like Thoreau he sought "to improve the nick of time, and notch it on my stick too; to stand on the meeting of two eternities, the past and future, which is precisely the present moment; to toe that line." This enthusiasm led him to a career of designing, building and restoring structures.

Brad's love of architecture and building has provided him with a variety of work experiences which range from restoring a church steeple in Manhattan to fixing up a beach villa in Greece. He has also worked on projects and lived extensively in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Costa Rica and Haiti.

Currently, he is overjoyed at being one of the caretakers of Samuel Miller's vision. This daunting task keeps him pretty well occupied. But, working on the beautiful 1,600 acre campus and the numerous historic buildings is indeed a labor of love.
