Miller School of Albemarle is proud to carry out the vision of our founder, Samuel Miller, by making a quality independent school education available to qualified students regardless of need. Our need-based financial aid program is healthy and of great service to many of our students and their families. Nearly 40% of students receive some level of aid.
The starting point for all financial aid requests is an online application through an independent agency (FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment) which, on behalf of Miller School, studies the financial data supplied by parents and guardians and then reports to the school. This report includes a recommendation about the amount of financial aid needed by the family.
Financial aid requests must be renewed from year to year with a new FACTS application and updated financial data. The deadline for Financial Aid applications for returning students is February 15. All new students are urged to apply as early as possible because the financial aid resources of the Miller School of Albemarle are finite and are typically fully committed by late spring. The priority deadline for Financial Aid applications for new students is February 15.
